Windows Shake

When I first heard about this functionality in Windows (Windows 7, 8 or 10), I thought it was a practical joke. But then I tried it and it actually works!

Multiple Open Windows

If you have a lot of open windows on your desktop, it can look very cluttered and even be distracting when you need to concentrate on doing just one thing.

Shake to De-Clutter

To help remove the clutter and allow you to concentrate on the most important task at hand, click on the window that you are most interested in so that it is the window that is in focus (in this case it’s the Notepad++ text editor window).

and shake (or wiggle) the window from side to side. All the other windows will be minimized so that the only window displayed is the one that you are most interested in.

You can now concentrate on working in that particular window.

Shake to Re-Clutter

To see all the other windows again, single mouse click on the top bar of the window and shake it again. The other windows that were minimized will be restored!
