Does this sound familiar? You’re reading an email from someone and want to find a previous email from the same person but can’t find it? How can you find other emails from the same person? It’s actually really easy to do in Outlook and in this post, we’ll show you how.
Version of Outlook
The method for finding all emails that were sent by a particular person is slightly different depending on which version of Outlook you are using. Either Outlook in a browser or the desktop version of Outlook.
Outlook in a Browser
For Outlook in a browser, hover your mouse over the name of the sender of an email. Right-mouse click the email, and a drop-down menu will appear. In this menu click on the line that reads “Advanced actions”.

A second drop-down menu will appear. In this menu, click on the line that reads “Find email from this sender”.

The menu will close and Outlook will search for, and list all the emails that you have received from that person. Quick and easy!
Desktop Outlook
For the desktop version of Outlook, hover your mouse over the email that you want to search for and right-mouse click the email. A drop-down menu will appear. In this menu, click on the line that reads “Find Related”.

A second drop-down menu will appear. In this menu, click on the line that reads “Messages from Sender”.

The menu will close and Outlook will search for, and list all the emails that you have received from that person. Quick and easy!
