Using a cloud storage service like OneDrive is a great way of having all your folders and files available at a moment’s notice on any of your internet connected devices.

The downside can be the time it takes to find, collate and upload those folders and files in the first place.

If you are using the business version of OneDrive, you can get help with this task by setting up a request link for a folder. This means that you can send the link to other people who can then upload their content to your folder. You don’t have to do all the uploading yourself!

In this post, we will show you how to create a request for a folder when using the business version of OneDrive in a web browser.

Setting Up OneDrive Requests

To set up a request, hover your mouse over the folder that you want others to upload into and click on the 3-dot icon that appears.

In the drop-down menu that appears, click on the line that reads “Request files”.

You can click on the “Copy link” button and then paste the link into your own emails that you send to other people so that they can get access to the folder.
